If you’re even a casual purveyor of Chicago’s music landscape, you’re probably also aware of Alex White, one half of the powerhouse brother-sister rock duo, White Mystery. While her abilities as a musician are well-documented, she’s also been making a name for herself for a minute now with an eclectic all-vinyl DJ set that’s traveled with her through tours and the in-between times. Lately, she’s been handling a monthly at Ace Hotel in the West Loop and this past week we stopped by to livestream it on the Radio, with a little taste of the set here for you to check out. This one is a bit lengthy for sure, but travels a fun line of 60s/70s soul, rock and all that falls between, with the warm pops of vinyl to smooth it all together.
