The city’s scene goes far beyond the obvious headline-makers of the moment and a familiar face popped up this week to remind us of just that as Sulaiman returned with a new project alongside fellow Chicagoan Doc Da Mind Benda as the pair teamed up for a Harold’s-inspired project, 6pc Fried Hard.
It’s been a minute since we last heard from Sulaiman, who made a name for himself coming up as part of Treated Crew and acting as an early mentor of sorts for much of the current crop of young artists in the city. More than just a precursor, Suli has long been a favorite amongst hip-hop heads in the know from around the ‘Go and proves it once again here, offering up a tightly-wound short release that will do plenty to get you in those late-summer vibes and take advantage of the mild weather while we still can.
