Throughout Chancelor Bennett’s adult life, he’s made a point to give back and support his community, more specifically the Chicago Public Schools that have faced increasing budgets shortfalls stretching into the hundreds of millions. While he’s sparred with Gov. Bruce Rauner, raised millions through his own finances and celebrity friends and gave away backpacks and hosted a surprise concert for the city’s youth just a couple weeks ago, the artist better known as Chance The Rapper isn’t done yet. Fresh off attending the Mayweather-MacGregor fight in Las Vegas and the Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, the hometown kid is back in the city and this time cooking up chicken with Nando’s to raise money for the local school system that helped him find his voice.
Chance will be doing his thing behind the grill at Nando’s latest location, downtown at 117 E. Lake St near Millennium Park.

The national chain, said that all proceeds (minus alcohol) from Sept. 5 through Sept. 7 will go toward Chance’s SocialWorks non-profit.
“We can’t think of a better ambassador to help Nando’s celebrate the Grand Opening of our flagship Chicago location, and to help support public education in a city we love,” Sepanta Bagherpour, Nando’s USA vice president of marketing, said in a statement.
Chance just keeps finding new ways to keep the people happy, full and money flowing to the schools. Get out next week and help support by grabbing some Nando’s.
