Closed Sessions is back again as in-house producer Boathosue teams up with labelmate Ajani Jones for a Tarantino-inspired collection by the name of One Punch.
Described by the pair as “Real Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique shit,” the EP is a nice first step for both in the beginning quarter of the year, a punch in the mouth if you will. Kicking off the year, both Jones and Boathosue find themselves at interesting points in their careers and the hustle of the last few years comes to fruition here as one lays the path for the other to traverse lyrically. The Closed Sessions team has had a near-historic run over the last five years or so, and this project shows off the team’s ability to put together a full realized thematic with the music perfectly complemented.
