It’s no secret that Chicago’s rap scene is commanding a ton of attention right now. As one act after another finds success at the national level, the profile of the scene at large continues its gradual uptick and no one seems more suited to take the leap than local product Femdot, who continued a successful summer with the release of his video for “Kola’s Interlude”.

The video finds Femi at the park, lacing up his sneakers for a shady ball game. A short piece, clocking in just over a minute, Fem’s latest serves as a holdover for what’s to come following his four-piece assault that culminated in The 20/20 Hour, one of the year’s best full-lengths that has since set him on a steady upward path. There’s few artists anywhere in the country possessing Fem’s ineffable attitude, deep knowledge and heady bars. It’s been exciting to watch him put the pieces together and in his latest visual he’s once again proving he’s a man of many talents. Catch the visual up top and more posts below.
