It’s been just over a year or so since we last were graced with new music from the ever-mysterious and pervasive, Qari, who returned from the shadows for a somewhat fast-tracked project with frequent collaborator Mulatto Beats and fellow producer Cangelosi for No Time To Explain.

With only about a week or so between the announcement of the impending release and the debut, the title of the nine-song offering is well-chosen and underlines the sentiment of spur-of-the-moment creation that birthed this project. Having existed on Chicago’s underground circuit for some time now, Qari is absolutely ready for his due, and proves as much throughout this project. From his vocal inflections to the intricate rhyme schemes and thoughtful metaphors and analogies he plays with throughout prove that the education he’s received amongst some of the country’s most talented artists and musicians is well-served. All that paired with his natural intuition when approaching a track makes just about anything Qari records worthwhile. On No Time To Explain, we can’t help but feel he’s finally toeing that true starting line when the rest of the country will find out about him the way Chicagoans have for years now. Don’t waste a moment, get into No Time To Explain below and, as always, catch is streaming live on Mild Sauce Radio every night at 8 PM CST as part of our #BestNewSingles show.
