Anyone who’s spent even a small amount of time behind the scenes of Chicago’s hip-hop scene have likely been to the studio on the corner of Hubbard and Milwaukee. Situated just behind the best chicken in Chicago not named Harold’s in The Roost, the space has long-served as a breeding ground for new music and experiences for the SaveMoney crew. With that in mind, it only makes sense then that Reeseynem and Chance returned to the spot to film the video for the former’s take off track, “What’s The Hook?”

To be sure, the video essentially narrates anyone’s experience who’s spent a long summer day at the stu. The majority of our Mild Sauce Saturday’s weren’t too far off from what’s documented here, although with a decided bit more eye candy perhaps, although you’ll probably recognize the red couch from our early Backcourt episodes. Anyway, Reeseynem has been coming along for a minute, is one of the nicest people you’ll come across in the scene and is proving he’s much more than a friend of the scene, dude has been the hidden talent for years. It’s fun as hell to see him step out in a big way and shout out to Chance for helping with the platform. We’re expecting to have Reese on our show very soon so keep an eye out for that. For now though? Enjoy the summer and dive into the video above.
