It’s been a minute since we heard from MC TREE. Back in 2013, on the heels of his vaunted Sunday School project, the purveyor os SoulTrap played Pitchfork, toured Europe and collaborated with brands like Scion and artists like BadBadNotGood & Ghostface Killah. Then, he seemingly walked away. While Tree has been in the city’s periphery, never straying too far from the scene, his output dipped, creating a demand that only this week got satisfied. Teaming up with none other than Vic Spencer, the pair dropped their collaborative album, Nothing Is Something yesterday, and the hip-hop heads locally couldn’t be happier.

TREE has been vocal on social media as of late, pushing towards an inevitable return and if this project is any indication of the kind of work we’ll be getting from him in the near future than count us here for it. Dive in below, catch the whole project streaming on Mild Sauce Radio and keep it locked for more on TREE soon.
