Over the course of the last year, no single artist in Chicago has made as much noise as quick upstart Velee, who’s parlayed a unique array of rhyme schemes into a cult following and G.O.O.D. Music signing. Things are definitely bright for the young star and Andrew Barber understudy, and he took it up a notch with the highly-anticipated visual for his summertime hit, “Womp Womp” featuring Jeremih.
The infectious single gets a video that is as smooth as the bars throughout. Directed by Hebru Brantley, it also features several cameos throughout from the likes of Barber, HXLT and others. Playing off the premise of a movie ordered online in a sort of Netflix and Chill situation, it quickly finds Valee dipping and diving through a hectic day, with light-hearted notes throughout that come together for a video you’ll want to revisit again and again.
