Rich Jones, as I’ve written many times before here and elsewhere, may as well be the embodiment of a local hustling rapper. Having existed on the scene for as long as most of us can remember, the last two years have seen him truly find his sound and fall comfortably into a string of singles and projects that seem to better fit him with each unveiling. Last year he released “No Clue” featuring Mykele Deville as a loosie single that ended up being the background for my entire summer. I’ve heard a lot of Rich Jones songs over the years, but this one just has a bounce to it that finds Jones doing his best 90s R&B intonations throughout. For its part, the accompanying visual that hit the public last week is another impressive one from Jones which pulls from several of the city’s varied angles to create an appropriate aside to a single that hopefully gets even more legs with the late follow-up. Regardless, get into this video and make sure to keep up with Rich on his latest project, The Shoulder You Lean On.
